Who we are.
Students are often expected to know many skills upon entering school. We are expected to know how to read both quickly and critically; we are expected to know how to manage our time, organize our study material, prepare for exams, and know how and why we should be setting goals.
As simple as these skills sound, the discrepancy between students in terms of their foundational study strategies is widening. As a result, students grow up with unequal foundations, producing long-term repercussions.
At TECO, we aim to close the gap by leveraging machine learning and artificial intelligence technology to personalize learning and to make sure all students get an education best fit for their styles and preferences.

A message from the founder
I founded TECO in 2019 to address the study skills discrepancy in a manner different from traditional “life skills” curriculums that can often be dull and boring.
I have been through both public and private school in a variety of places–Peachtree City, Seoul, Los Angeles, and Singapore. There has nonetheless been one unifying theme across my various experiences: schools expect a lot out of us.
The problem: schools’ expectations of us are often the same for everyone, but our individual skills vary widely. Some of us know how to balance play with work, how to use folders to organize our notes, and how to use stress to our advantage. Others are left sleeping at 4:00am everyday, waste time un-crumbling papers we shoved into our backpacks, and accept a “I’m just really bad at exams” mindset.
With TECO, my dream is to instill strong skills in students from a young age that make them prepared, confident, and successful.
