Taesun is the Founder & CEO of TECO. As CEO, Taesun sets the vision, mission, and culture of TECO while overseeing global growth, corporate strategy, and financials.
In 2019, Taesun started TECO as a small curriculum development educational company. Today, TECO is a leader in educational innovation with team members in nine different countries, driving up the quality of and access to educational and entrepreneurial opportunities worldwide.
Prior to starting TECO, Taesun worked at Bluerun Ventures (venture capital), Al-Futtaim (global conglomerate), and Elevate (education), building experience in startup development and funding, global growth and expansion, and educational development.
As an educator by heart, Taesun also continues to teach within TECO. In his free time, Taesun likes to go on unplanned trips - whether that be a road trip with no destination or a hike through the mountains with nothing but a backpack. Perhaps it is this desire for adventure that helped him launch and grow TECO.
Taesun holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics from Yale-NUS.
세계 9개국에서 교육연구, 커리큘럼 개발과 스타트업 육성을 주도하고 있는 태코의 대표다. 대표로서 태코의 비전, 미션, 문화를 만들어가며 기업의 글로벌 진출과 발전을 총괄하고 있다.
예일대학교 - 싱가포르 국립대학교 (Yale-NUS)에서 정치, 철학, 경제를 전공하였으며 서울대학교로 1년간 공식 파견을 갔다. 태코를 설립하기 전에는 Bluerun Ventures (벤처 캐피털), Al-Futtaim (글로벌 대기업), Elevate (교육회사)에서 스타트업 육성과 자금 조달, 글로벌 성장과 확장, 교육 개발의 경험을 쌓아 왔다.
교육의 가장 큰 문제점들을 바꾸겠다는 큰 꿈을 안고 2019년에 태코를 설립했다. 채드윅국제학교와의 첫 커리큘럼 MOU를 체결한 뒤 태코는 이제 전 세계에서 커리큘럼 개발을 포함, 교육연구 및 스타트업 육성과 자체 기술로 개발한 한국어 음성인식 인공지능을 기반으로 하는 언어 플랫폼과 함께 폭넓게 확장하고 있다.
시간이 날 때면 목적지 없는 드라이브나 하이킹과 같은 계획되지 않은 여행을 좋아한다. 아무것도 몰랐던 시절, 태코를 설립하고 성장 시키는데에 이와 같은 모험에 대한 욕망이 도움이 되었다고 한다.
더 나은 미래를 위해 꿈꾸는 사람들과 뜻깊은 일을 꾸준히 하는 것이 인생 목표이며 오늘도 '교육'과 '스타트업'이라는 단어에 가슴이 뛴다.
